The Community Covenant
We are not just a platform; we are a guild. This covenant outlines the mutual trust and responsibilities between us, the masters, and the apprentices.
1. Autonomy & Responsibility
Lonca is built on the anarchist principle of self-governance. You are solely responsible for your journey, your safety, and your interactions. We provide the digital bridge; you cross it.
For Apprentices: You commit to respecting the time, tools, and wisdom of the masters. Learning is active participation, not passive consumption.
For Masters: You commit to sharing knowledge openly and creating a safe environment without exercising undue power or hierarchy over learners.
2. Horizontal Relationships
We reject rigid educational hierarchies. A "Master" is simply someone further along the path, not a superior being. An "Apprentice" is a future master, not a subordinate.
All interactions on Lonca must be grounded in equality. Abuse, discrimination, or exploitation of any kind results in immediate exile from the guild.
3. The Exchange of Value
Value is not just currency; it is respect, effort, and knowledge.
While financial transactions facilitate the sustainability of the craft, the true transaction is the transfer of skill. Refund policies and cancellations are handled with fairness and empathy, prioritizing resolution over bureaucracy.
4. The Platform's Role (Legal Shield)
Lonca is a Bridge, Not a Workshop. We are a technology service provider that connects independent Mentors with Learners. We do not own, operate, or supervise the physical spaces where experiences take place.
- Liability Waiver: By using Lonca, you voluntarily acknowledge that craft activities (e.g., auto repair, smithing, woodworking) carry inherent risks of injury, death, or property damage. You agree to hold Lonca (the platform) harmless from any such incidents.
- Mentor Responsibility: Mentors are independent contractors, not employees of Lonca. They are solely responsible for maintaining valid liability insurance, ensuring workspace safety, and complying with local regulations.
